There is an inextricable link between England and Formula One racing.

The UK has a unique blend of beautiful countryside, great cities and some mouth watering architecture, making it a must-see for all travellers. And London, in the words of Hollywood star Samuel L Jackson, is 'just cool'.

From a driver’s perspective, Silverstone’s 5.1 kilometres are some of the most formidable on the Formula One calendar. The track, a former World War II aerodrome, is fast and a quick lap time requires bravery and finesse.

What makes Scotland such an ideal holiday destination is the fantastic variety of things to see and do, so much so that just knowing where to start can be a problem!

Castles

Royal Deeside has been the favourite holiday destination for the Royal Family since the days of Queen Victoria with the present Queen still being in residence at Balmoral Castle from August to September every year.

Balmoral Castle, Scotland The family also attend the local church service at Crathie Church most Sundays which is only 25 miles from our base.

Balmoral castle is one of the 350 castles to be found in the Aberdeen and Grampian Highlands.

Whisky

Deeside has also got the whisky county very close by in Speyside where more than half of the Scottish Distilleries are based. A visit to a few of these is a very enjoyable way to spend a day or two whether you like the taste of whisky or not!

Golf

If you fancy being a bit more active, being the home of golf, there are numerous golf courses to choose from many encompassing the wonderful scenery as you play.

Or if you just fancy a shot there are golf driving ranges to sample.

Skiing

Scotland has 5 ski resorts offering a wide range of abilities all within easy travelling distance of eachbother. On a good day you can't beat Scottish skiing. If you don't fancy skiing in Scotland why not take off to Europe in our fully equipped motorhome.

Walking

Scottish scenery With the spectacular scenery, which is Scotland, there is a walk to suit all abilities whether you want to bag a Munro or two and spend the week travelling round them. Or if you just want to go for a gentle stroll we will manage to point you in the right direction.

The Cairngorm National Park is only a short drive away.

Fishing

Why not try your luck at landing a salmon in some of the most famous and scenic rivers in the world and spend the rest of your holiday telling everyone how it got away.

Dolphin watching and beaches

Being an island there are miles and miles of fantastic coastlines with Dolphins jumping in the Moray coast area and sailing clubs all around. The world is your oyster!

A taste of Scottish life is best seen at the Highland Games which take place throughout the summer months in different towns which is another great day out.
